My mission is to put modern technology to work for forward-thinking businesses. I specialise mainly in developing websites and web applications in Laravel.

Who am I?

I’m Erick Mwamodo, and I run ApexCode Ltd. - a one-man Laravel web design and development agency based in Mombasa, Kenya.

I work with small and medium-sized businesses on web design and web development projects. I've helped many businesses get online with brand-new websites that have helped them grow and increase sales. I’ve also worked with businesses to build custom solutions to automate daily workflows to save time and money.

I class myself as a ‘Web Designer & FullStack Developer’, which means I do both design and development in equal measures and work on the entire process of making websites and web applications, end-to-end, from the moment you fill out a project questionnaire, to creating a mock-up of the site, to building it.

How I Work

I believe in maintaining a good balance between my work and my life outside of work and being clear and upfront on how I go about this. This can be summed up by the following:

  1. I’m a very hard worker, and I love my job and my clients.
  2. I work 5-days a week from Monday – Friday. Hours that I work can be found, here.
  3. I price my work fairly based on my experience and industry.
  4. I schedule all phone calls in advance. I don’t check my emails outside my working hours.
  5. I take at least 8-weeks of holiday a year, usually fitting around the Kenya School Holidays. Dates where I’m unavailable can be found on, here.

I also build tiny internet projects. Currently, I'm working on ApexPayroll. A self-hosted full-service payroll solution.

ApexPayroll automatically calculates statutory deductions, generates payslips, generates KRA reports P9,P10, P10A for KRA ITAX portal online returns and can run on autopilot and make salary payments or generate assorted salary payment formats: Bank Payroll Processing file, XML file for MPESA bulk payment processing, Cheque Payment List and Signature list for cash payments.

Ready For Growth? We'll build it together, and measure success.
